Metered Rates For Taxicab Service First 2/11th mile $2.50, each additional 1/11th mile $0.17. (This means $2.50 for the first 2/11th mile and $1.87 per mile thereafter). Waiting and/or delay in traffic is $20.00 per hour prorated in increments of $0.17. Night surcharge from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM is $1.00 per trip. Fuel service charge is $1.00 per trip when gas prices are $3.50 per gallon or more. There is a flat rate of $6.00 per trip for rides that originate and end within the Central District, which is the downtown Houston area bounded by I-45, I-10and US-59. City of Baytown rates: First 1/5th mile $2.50, each additional 1/5th mile $0.40. (This means $2.50 for the first 1/5th mile and $2.00 per mile thereafter). Waiting and/or delay in traffic is $20.00 per hour prorated in increments of $0.40. City of Pasadena rates: First 1/6th mile $2.50, each additional 1/6th mile $0.30. (This means $2.50 for the first 1/6th mile and $1.80 per mile thereafter) Waiting and/or delay in traffic is $20.00 per hour prorated in increments of $0.30. Night surcharge from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM is $1.00 per trip. Anyone 60 years or more in age can ask for and receive a 10% discount. Tips are appreciated but are not required. All drivers are independent contractors, not employees. Commercial accounts are invited to call for quotes. Call for quotes on trips that originate outside our normal operating area. Pasadena
